Helene Thoman, member of Lakewood Country Club was recognized for her stellar performance in winning the Women's City (Cleveland) championship at Elyria Country Club. She was awarded the Tillinghast Association Certificate # 396 Rob Moss, Assistant Golf professional, who won the 2001 Ohio Open played at Tam-O-Shanter Golf Club in Canton. Rob was bestowed Tillinghast Association status certificate # 397. The presentations were made in front of Lakewood's recently erected Tillinghast Memorial. Lakewood Country Club, built in 1921, is the ony Tillinghast original design in Ohio.
