Tillinghast wrote this column - "The Humor of the Game" - for Golf Illustrated beginning in 1914. The column consists of shorts and poems of varying degrees of humor. Tilly's column reflects societal class status in the early nineteen hundreds and the life and times in American country clubs. In 1916, the column was renamed "The Round Table."
